So I've added some new photos to my photo gallery. I've got pictures from my aunt's wedding under "The Fam" section and I added a church gallery that includes a couple pictures from Home Acres. I'm sure that where will be bunches more in that category in the near future, especially since we'll be going on an overnighter in a month! weeee!

So I know that the big thing coming up is the holiday season. A time where people come together, sher in love and thanksgiving, and then figure out what horrible people they are and decide they want to change. The ever-famous, ever-popular, New Year's Resolution. In theory, New Year's Resolutions should be pretty effective. Every year you get a chance to really change your life, to become that new person, to let go of the parts of yourself that you've always wanted to let go of. And yet, they never seem to work. I know I've never really fulfilled a New Year's Resolution. Although, at the same time, I've rarely ever made any.

I was pondering all of this while swishing my legs around in circles on an elliptical machine at the fitness center. Those are some fun machines. While swishing, I realized that this gym, and many others, will be filled to capacity after New Years because so many people will be making that decision to get in better shape. I soon begin to ask myself, "why is this change occuring so much around the new year? Shouldn't it occur at other times in our lives?" To me, the answer was yes. Plainly, and simply yes. Choosing to better ourselves comes so naturally (or at least should) once we've accepted Christ into our lives. That's all you want to do from that point on. Is be the best warrior for Christ you can be. You want to follow everything that God is leading you to do, teaching you to do. You've become that new creature, and yet you still have things to work on. People shouldn't make resolutions at the new year, people should make resolutions when they become new creatures in Christ.

So I've realized what kind of person I am when it comes to listening to music. You know that there are different types. There's those who can never listen to an entire song all the way through and have to change it halfway because they start thinking about the next most exciting song. Then there's those who have to listen to every single song on a CD all the way through first before they jump around, even if one of the songs is completely offensive or not their taste at all. And then there's people like me. I pick a song of the moment, one that I listen to over and over again. I simply click on the repeat button and roll with it. I think that's why I listen to the radio so scarcely. Becaues there's no repeat button on the radio.

I'm sure this is why my roommates hate the Pizza Party song. Not because it's cheesy (or not so greasy), and not because it's just ultra-stupid, but because I played it to death! I think I need to report my repetitious songs of the moment on a regular basis.

It's really snowy outside today, and I LIKE IT!

I have to drive downtown in about an hour or so to go take my first exam of finals week. It's sort of silly because it's only worth 40 points and the last test that I took like this took me 15 minutes. So, I'm kind of hoping he puts something a LITTLE challenging in there like some SAP or something to take up some of the time. That way I'm at least in the classroom longer than I'm in my car.

I don't think I had any more fun dreams last night. At least none that I can remember. For the past couple weeks I've been waking up in the middle of the night so I always get to hear Jessie mumbling in her sleep. She pretty much just sighs or says things like, "oooooooohhhhhhh," in sort of a whiny voice. Nothing about "I like the animals." or "Don't pet the animals." That was a one time occurence I think. Maybe I'll buy a tape recorder that lasts for like 8 hours or something and put it on while she's sleeping at night, here what kind of stuff she says. Would you be willing to let me do that Jessie? For educational purposes? (Although I don't really know how it will educate me or anyone else who sees or listens to it. Maybe it would REALLY be for entertainment purposes).

Bible study was a really good time yesterday. We got to talk about a lot of things and I think we all learned a lot. I know I did. I hope we're all able to stay strong over break. I know that God's already given me some great ideas and plans on how to stay on the path that I'm going on which is so super awesome.

Jessie and I have started apartment hunting. We have been to a whole bunch of different places and we think we've narrowed it down to three, but we're going to check out one other place that's actually right next to our church. It says that they're leasing now and I think that it's actually a brand new complex so it looks like it's definitely worth checking out. I think it will be the last one we look at before we decide. My parents are hoping to come up and check out some of our more favorite places over the break to help us make a decision and make sure we're finding a place that's safe and rock solid. I think Jessie and I are going to have a good time with this next year.

Jessie and I realized the other day that most of the Bible study people won't even BE here next year. And we thought, "what are we going to do?" I really want to continue the Bible study but everyone is pretty much graduating. We'll still have Zac I'm sure and Stephanie maybe. She is going back to Cornerstone but I think she plans on living off campus where she is now, so I'm sure she'll be around next semester, but I don't know about next school year.
