Ahhh, the splendid May weather has finally arrived and with it I'm finding that my business seems so much more relaxing than it used to be. This weekend was actually quite crazy indeed. I worked from 7-11 on Friday, got my hair cut, rushed back to 11147 Boyce Rd. to get Keith's truck loaded with my furniture, drove up to Grandville in a caravan with Jessie and Keith, unloaded furniture in our rented garage, went to Laker Village 2L to change for Chris and Ashley's wedding, got lost on the way there, made it to the reception, got back to Laker Village and locked my keys in the car, waited for AAA, and went to bed. Wow. That was Friday. Saturday Jessie and I moved in to our apartment with the toally amazing and awesome help of Ben, Tim, Sandy, and Mitch! We were at it all day, and my room is still not totally set up, as I'm sure hers isn't either. We're really excited though and all of the furniture that people blessed us with looks quite awesome. Overall, it was a pretty rock solid, relatively stress-free move thanks to all of the help we had. Then today, I went to Rez, organized my room a bit more, and then came back here to Chelsea for another week of working at the AP tests. Pretty rock solid indeed.
I had an awesome conversation with my hair dresser on Friday about God. It was so strange how it just sort of moved that way so suddenly, but it was totally awesome. We exchanged some advice, gave each other wisdom, and I suggested that she join BSF if she can find one around here. She gave me a suggestion for a book to read and overall it was pretty sweet. She asked me if I was going into the ministry saying that I should because she had learned so much from me withint that 40 minute conversation we had. I was amazed that she admitted to learning so much, because I was just surprised to hear that I suppose. I too learned a lot, and reminded myself of a lot of things that I had forgotten. Things that seem basic or simple to me but really are deep spiritual truths that need to be grapsed and applied every day. I feel like I've gained a new confidence in myself and in what I believe by realizing what God wants me to be and to become. God's got me working on some pretty amazing things right now and I really can't wait to use the gifts He's given me to bless and teach others. It's going to be an awesome, productive summer.
