:: The Long Awaited Return ::
So, here I am, on my lunchbreak...finally updating this silly site after months of being inactive. It's kind of funny, but since Jessie and I just got DSL I figured that my first entry would actually have been from my computer at home, and not one of the kiosk computers at CHS. But hey, I had a small lunch today, I'm a fast eater, and I've already checked my e-mail, checked on Craig's Australian flight status, and read some of the news. So, I am left with no choice, but to update.
So, some new things have happened since I last updated. My office has moved from the DeVos building to the Cook-DeVos building. Pretty crazy, huh? I have to park my car at the DeVos campus and take a shuttle over here because there's no parking for students. But, overall that's been a good ezperience. I was observing the driver today and I find her quite interesting. Her name is Mimi (Bus Driver #5340) and she's currently reading "A Horse and His Boy" by C.S. Lewis. She reads it at the first stop while she waits for it to turn 7:45. She reads it for probably about 5 minutes. She also has her sign with her name on it hung at a very peculiar angle. I'm not sure if she just doesn't like to put it in there all the way or if its a clever way of covering up the "No Smoking" sign. It doesn't look like she endorses smoking but looks can be deceiving. She was also drinking and RC Cola this morning. She's a very friendly bus driver...probably one of the friendliest I've seen here in Grand Rapids.
I also recently made an adventure up to the cottage with a siginifcant number of people. There are some photos of the excursion in my gallery, in the GVSU Album under "One CRAZY Weekend." There are also pictures of the surprise party we threw for Craig that weekend. We totally surprised him for sure! :o)
I'm finally starting to work on a scrapbook for my Italian excursion from last summer. Jessie and I worked a bit on a scrapbook for Craig and I am suddenly inspired to make a totally awesome book for my trip. I've only prepared the first page so far but it's going to look totally awesome (once I get to the scrapbook store and buy the necessary materials).
School starts in a week and a half. I'm not really too excited about it, not as much as I usually get at the start of the school year. I think it's because I took classes during the second half of the summer and they've only been over for like a week. So it's two weeks worth of a "break" (although I'm working 40 hours each week) and then it's back to the grind of school, work, and extracurriculars. Only one more year of this though and I'm outta here! SCORE!
My favorite song of the moment: "We Are the Pirate Who Don't Do Anything" performed by Relient K.
I think I might go see Hawk Nelson and Thousand Foot Krutch perform on October 1 but I need to e-mail some others and figure that all out.
BRRR! I'm cold!
