:: It's all for chits and haggles ::
I don't remember who I was talking to on-line yesterday but he wrote chit...I'm sure of it. Oh misspelling swear-words as a method of censorship. How precious.
Well, this week proves to be concluding in a most entertaining, relaxing, and uplifting way. My 1-2:15 class tomorrow is not going to happen, so I can work an extra 3 hours which will be nice. Extra money is good when you need it. Fusion happens again this week after not happening on Thanksgiving. It's amazing how much I missed it! Today at my internship PK went over some pretty sweet stuff about Christian leadership and I'm really beginning to notice some of the good and bad things I do as a leader. I'm also starting to see who in my life has helped shape me as a leader. Pretty sweet. On top of all of this, I'm going home on Friday to work the SATs (I'm getting paid the highest wage too) and Craig is returning from Australia! Totally amazing right?! I can't believe it's already here! I don't know what we're going to do while he's here! He's definitely coming to Fusion and church sometime and he and I are going to have an awesome Craig and Liz adventure in downtown Grand Rapids, but I don't know much else beyond that! It will just be great to have him here again. Close and in my face. :o) Just the way I like my Craiggles.
The best part of this week though? My business negotiations class. We went over haggling today and did an in-class exercise. As an art buyer, I had to haggle with Jeff over the purchase of an expensive vase. I was hoping to purchase it for $95,000 (the person I was buying for was only willing to dole out $85,000 so I would have to dish out the difference), but Jeff threw in a charming autographed photo of himself in a bikini so I ended up paying $100,000. Oh course it was a hypothetical autographed bikini photo, but still, pretty entertaining. I did end up yelling out "You are being so inappropriate!" when he said, "I mean, c'mon, look at that bulge!" and that tended to shut him right up. He definitely became very red and looked around the class nervously hoping to escape their watchful eyes and careful ears. The last time he said something inappropriate (he determined that a good pick-up line would be, "nice shoes, wanna copulate?") the entire class found out about it because I freaked out at him. :o) I think he wanted to avoid a repeat of the past on that one. Needless to say, I paid more for the vase, got the autographed photo, and when my professor asked, "did you pay more because he threw that in?" I said, "of course! Wouldn't you?!" When I was asked on my write-up "What would you do differently in the future?" I said, "I would try not to get so distracted by Jeff's bikini photo." All in all, another successful day in what has definitely become my most entertaining class. I gotta say, 2nd semester won't be the same without Jeff in my life.
