So I had every intention of washing all the dishes and getting my room COMPLETELY clean tonight, but I ended up getting distracted by Jewish raggae music. I highly reccomend Matisyahu to all of you, whether you're Jewish or not (I'm clearly not Jewish and I enjoy it tremendously). Although, to be fair, he sings some mean praise to God through it all. I suggest "King Without a Crown." It's good.
Other than encountering Jewish Raggae, this week has turned out to be most excellent. I cut back from my hours at work which should help tremendously with any stress that I'm experiencing. I also went out to lunch with Reuben today at Yesterdog. It was my first experience at the famous GR restaurant and I must say, it was most delicious. And when I got home after class today, Jessie had prepared me some dinner! And it was delicious too!
Other than that, there's nothing very cool to report or share. My professor made the observation the other day that I'm a very contemplative person. Or at least, I manage to appear that way during class. I don't really know what I'm always contemplating...sometimes I guess it's about God (actually, sometimes in an understatement, MOST of the time it is), sometimes about friends, sometimes about cute boys, sometimes about the lollipop guild, sometimes about slumber parties with my roommate, sometimes about crashing my car, sometimes about new clothes, sometimes about food, and whatever else. I need to go watch scary movie with Jessie.

Anyway, life here in Grand Rapids is pretty sweet indeed. I've just been relaxing all weekend, which has been phenominal, and I enjoyed the most splendid Super Bowl gathering yesterday evening. Okay, that makes it sound like it was a cocktail party or something super sophisticated. Let me rephrase. I had a rockin' good time with the craziest bunch of crazies ever! Much better!
Last night I headed out to Reuben, Dan, and Jake's and it was excellent. The chips and snacks were delicious, I managed to provide Reuben with his "glorious," and the night developed into quite an interesting evening. The great thing about it? I don't think the guys there found it nearly as interesting or entertaining as I did...cause it seemed like they were doing what they ALWAYS do! And what is that, you ask? Well, they took turns buring the fuzz off their socks with a lighter, they talked about purchasing alligator shirts (and made fun of me when I simply suggested that maybe they should buy an alligator instead), they beat each other up and included me in on the action, and they lit a kleenex on fire and put it into a plastic cup, not really thinking about how easy those things burn. Now, I don't want you to get the wrong impression here. These guys are in no way unintelligent. In fact, they're probably some of the smarter guys that I've hung out with in the recent past. They just manage to have a good time doing foolish things! And I enjoyed it! It was an edcuational experience...seeing the guys that I normally only see at church in their "natual habitat." Plus, they've got a sweet basement full of guitars, drums, and flashing lights. Fun times indeed. I'm looking forward to future endeavors with those crazy kids. Perhaps an Atmosfear party is in order?
